On November 17, 2007, Top Draw hosted a private extravaganza to celebrate the start of its 15th year in business.

Alongside our sister company Epiar, who celebrated its sixth year, a spectacular night of food, fun, and festivities took place. Moulin Rouge was the theme of the evening, and this was recreated in the decorations, sculptures, and entertainers. Our guests embraced the theme and arrived in stylish fashions reflecting the period. Food and drink of all shapes and sizes flowed freely throughout the night.

The evening started with a variety of entertainers, including a roving magician, jugglers, unicyclists, followed by a flame/sword/plate-spinner performer who entralled the crowd with his amazing skills and humour. These performers were astonishing and contributed to the carnival-like feel of 1900’s Paris.

After a short speech by our esteemed founder and president, Ken Jurina, the live band took the stage. The Retrofits played an excellent and varied set, allowing our guests to hit the dance floor. This was followed up by acclaimed DJ Nestor Delano, who spun the beats well into the morning.

We would like to thank our clients for their years of support. We would also like to thank all of the people that worked hard to make the event a huge success. Everyone had a excellent time and it was a night that will be talked about for days and years to come.

With the month of October winding down, Top Draw is now entering its fifteenth year of business. We have grown throughout the years, from a one-man operation working out of a basement in St. Albert, to a thriving, full-service firm located in downtown Edmonton.

Top Draw started out with a focus on traditional print design, an area in which we excel. We have done a wide variety of work around Edmonton and beyond, from corporate identity to advertising to annual reports. We will continue to create stunning graphic design utilizing the latest design trends and styles.

Over the past number of years, we have rapidly expanded our web design and development department. In tandem with our sister company, Epiar, we have made enormous strides in building search engine optimized sites, and are now an industry leader in implementing cutting-edge search engine friendly techniques. We are also expanding our web development portfolio by creating custom-built, user-friendly web applications.

We want to thank all of the family, friends, staff, and clients who have been a part of this company for the last fifteen years, and who have made invaluable contributions to the expansion and sustained growth of Top Draw.

We hope that the next fifteen are as good as the first!

When HumanaCare came to Top Draw a little while back with a request for a complete overhaul and re-design of their corporate website we jumped at it. As a consultation leader in Western Canada for employee wellness, HumanaCare had a wide range of services that were in need of a larger spotlight online. This June we are proud to announce it’s launch at www.humanacare.com.

After careful review, working with the HumanaCare team, Top Draw created a modern and fresh online presence for the company. By re-organizing HumanaCare’s site map, architecture, and general tone, Top Draw was able to remove several utility barriers that existed within the previous site. In addition to this, the site’s general look & feel was given a brighter and more positive outlook. It was felt that, given the nature and circumstances of most HumanaCare end-users, applying optimistic symbolism and support throughout the site would best translate HumanaCare’s products and services. While the site’s exterior was given a much needed facelift, the Top Draw team also integrated a content management system that would give the HumanaCare staff access to their site whenever they please. With just a little training the HumanaCare staff found web writing, editing and updates easier than ever.

In addition to showcasing HumanaCare’s consultation services, Top Draw was also commissioned to create a portal application branded as HumanaLife. Provided as a free service to all HumanaCare clients, HumanaLife is a members-only information hub where users can view articles and electronic evaluations on a variety of topics that relate directly with HumanaCare services. Dynamically populated with content on a weekly basis, HumanaLife also supplies corporate clients with administration tools to oversee their own HumanaLife accounts while also accessing up-to-date usage reports for their company’s recent activity within HumanaLife.
