When Kori Chilibeck walked into our office in 2005, he had an idea on a napkin; an idea to take a commodity that we too often take for granted and use it to make an impact on world hunger. His vision was to sell bottled water and use 100% of the net proceeds to provide food and water to people in need. We were compelled by the concept and motivated by Kori’s passion. Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year! There’s something so magical about the lights, the trees, the greeting cards, the snow (conspicuously absent this year), the presents – and the people. Don’t get us wrong, we love people all year, but especially so in December! For whatever reason, blame it on Christmas cheer, or too many holiday “spirits” – but when the calendar page turns to December it seems that people are kinder, happier, and actually slow down to take time to appreciate those closest to them.

Mobile Usage Will Explode in 2012

Have you noticed that more and more of your friends and family are buying iPhones, iPads and other smart phones and tablets? It seems that smartphones aren’t just for geeks anymore; even my non-techie aunts and uncles are picking up Apple or Android-based phones.

What does this mean for local business owners?

The question I have regarding this trend is whether this has a direct impact on companies in Edmonton. Are you one of those business owners thinking about creating a mobile-friendly website? The bigger issue is, does your website userbase really justify that kind of effort?

Luckily, we have a few clients across different industries who allow us to check out their analytics from time to time. The resulting trends shocked us, so we thought we would share.
